Charter and Travel 2012- We have lots of diving planned for 2012 to keep you interested and underwater. Let’s take a look:
Bonaire , Dutch Antilles, August 11-18, 2012
Experience complete dive freedom in Bonaire! We had such a WONDERFUL time in Bonaire this last October, we decided to go again! We’re staying at Buddy Dive Resort where you can literally dive 24/7! Our dive package is $1,150.00 and includes condo accommodation (2 or 3 bdrms)double accommodation, breakfast daily, (6) 1-tank boat dives, unlimited shore diving, truck rental/taxes and acco. taxes. Rick Moore, our newest instructor, is leading this trip. Rick has been diving the Islands for years and is excited to lead one of our groups! Since Bonaire is incredibly photogenic, you might want to think about purchasing an underwater camera and housing for this trip if you don’t already have one. (We know where you can get a great deal on an Innova, Sea Life or Nikon camera!) Airfare is not included in the trip cost, however, we will be glad to quote you for round-trip airfare leaving from Charleston.
Saba , Dutch Antilles, July 21-28, 2012 - Once you dive the Island Queen, you’ll never want to dive anywhere else! Saba is a 5-square-mile jewel of an island surrounded by a marine sanctuary. The diving ranges from shallow reefs to pinnacle dives to incredible wall dives. We’ve sent several clients to Saba over the years and they all say the same thing – “What a find!” Tim Schmitz has visited Saba 3 times over the past few years and has declared it his favorite spot to dive! With his Saban expertise, Tim is leading the trip and is looking for students who want to finish their Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Underwater Photography and Peak Performance Buoyancy certifications. We have several spots already reserved on this trip and are taking 12 – please put in your deposits by the middle of January to assure your place on this fabulous trip! Cost is$1,229.00 and includes 7 nights acc. Dbl.occ., 11 dives, daily continental breakfast, roundtrip transfers, taxes, 2 free dinners and 1 free lunch. Not included are airfare, departure taxes ($5.00), marine park taxes ($55-60) and staff tips.
Maldives , October 7-21, 2012 - Yes, we’re finally heading to the exquisite Maldives. We’ve planned to spend 7 days aboard the luxurious M/V Orion, diving the more far-flung islands, and then we’ll relax for 4 days on Koomandoo Resort, diving with mantas and sharks. Then, we’ll schedule a day in Dubai before returning to the States. We are taking 16 divers/snorkelers on this trip and 7 spaces are already filled. If you are interested in this trip, please let us know at your earliest convenience. Cost ranges from $7,500.00 – 8,400.00 per person depending on airfare and packages chosen for the liveaboard and resort.
New dive gear for 2012:
Check out our packages - you can make huge savings!!!
Aqualung Essential package: This is a fantastic package for those who want good dive gear for a great price. The package price of $919.00 includes the Pro LT BCD, the Titan regulator, the ABS Octopus and (our favorite) the Zoop 2 gauge computer console. The regular price for this package is $1,411.00 – so the savings are truly spectacular!
Tired of stressing about the 50-55lb weight limit for dive gear on the airlines? De-stress with the new Aqualung Zuma BCD ($395.95), Hotshot fins ($129.95) and Mikron regulator ($495.00). All have been engineered with weight in mind and are light and comfortable. Or you can check out Oceanic’s new Travel-Lite BCD ($475.00).
Scuba Courses - you want ‘em, we’ve got ‘em! Scan the Training Page on our website http://charlestonscuba.com/ for schedules, prices and course info. You can also check the Events Page for a calendar of courses through December 2012. Of course, training dives can be completed on almost any charter or trip. It’s true, good divers never stop training!
That’s about it for now. We’d love to see you in the store, on one of our trips, in class/pool or on the charter. Please let us know how we can better keep you in the water and diving! Thank you and we hope to see you diving soon!
