Billed as “the world’s favorite freshwater drift dive”, Rainbow River provides fun for all ages and certification levels, including snorkelers. Troy Springs is a great place to complete AOW deep dives. Join Charleston Scuba in experiencing the crystal clear waters and startling natural beauty of this beautiful river. If you can’t wait for offshore to warm up, here’s your chance to get wet. While you’re there, you can complete your Open Water certification, Drift Diver, Underwater Photographer, Peak Performance Buoyancy or Advanced Open Water certification.

Rainbow Springs is the fourth largest and one of the most picturesque of Florida’s first magnitude springs. It is designated a National Natural Landmark and the Rainbow River is an Aquatic Preserve and an Outstanding Florida Water. In February and March the azalea gardens are in full bloom for those walking the paths in the park. For more information on Rainbow Springs, click here.

Rainbow River will be combined with either Troy Springs or Devils Den.

Troy Springs, a 70-foot deep, first magnitude spring, is a beautiful, hidden gem located along the historic Suwannee River. It offers opportunities for swimming and snorkeling, and is a very popular open-water scuba-diving site. The focal point of the park is the gorgeous Troy Spring pool and spring run. Surrounded by high ground, the view looking down into the clear spring water is breath-taking showcasing unique karst formations. For more information on Troy Springs, click here.

Devil’s Den spring offers a unique experience to divers. It has been recognized as a prehistoric site by the State of Florida because of the many fossils found in the cavern including fossilized camel and shark teeth. Divers swim among chunks of limestone that have detached from the walls, creating archways. The water in the underground river is a constant 72 °F and visibility is almost unlimited unless divers kick up the light silt that coats the rocks. For more information on Devil’s Den, click here.
